Delightful Nuremberg: Day 4A

 

Our busy day began with a walking tour of Old Nuremberg. Houses along the river, a castle in the distance, charming architecture, all these made for picturesque imagery we will cherish for a long time.

The Pegnitz River scenes look very delightful, but the water is polluted and swimming is not recommended. For years the river was a dumping area from the old slaughterhouses in this part of Nuremberg.
